Video Surveillance

Modern IP cameras are the foundation of an intelligent home surveillance system, but their real value appears only when they work together with the right software.
In the SmartVision ecosystem, cameras are not passive devices streaming video to the internet. They become smart sensors that analyze events locally and report only what actually matters.
Secure remote access and hybrid architecture

SmartVision provides remote access without exposing cameras directly to the public internet. Homeowners can view live video, review events, and receive alerts from anywhere while traveling or working remotely. Local processing and event-based logic reduce the need for constant 24/7 streaming, improving stability and lowering bandwidth usage. The system combines local AI analytics with optional cloud connectivity, creating a balanced and privacy-aware surveillance solution.

Event-based recording instead of endless archives

SmartVision is designed around meaningful event detection rather than continuous recording. Object-based analytics allow the system to distinguish real activity from visual noise. When suspicious behavior or unauthorized entry is detected, SmartVision records the event, sends notifications, and makes the footage immediately available. This dramatically reduces false alarms and ensures important moments are never missed.

AI sound detection — cameras that can hear

SmartVision adds neural sound recognition with support for more than 500 sound types. Events can be triggered even without visible motion. Baby crying, shouting, barking, alarms, or unusual noises can start recording and send alerts. This makes surveillance more responsive and useful in real life.

Smarter motion analytics

Motion detection has become calmer and more accurate. A lightweight detector works first, followed by advanced analytics when necessary. This layered approach reduces CPU load and minimizes false triggers caused by shadows, snow, rain, or lighting changes. License plate recognition now uses region-specific models, improving accuracy when camera placement and lighting are optimal.

Smoke and fire detection

SmartVision adds visual smoke and fire detection as an additional safety layer. It is not a replacement for fire alarms but provides early warning, especially useful in warehouses, parking areas, and large spaces.

Timelapse recording

Timelapse is now a full recording mode. It is ideal for construction sites, long processes, and environmental monitoring where long periods must be compressed into short videos.

Automatic camera discovery and recovery

ONVIF auto-discovery has become more reliable. Cameras are found faster and streams start working immediately. If a camera changes its IP address or reboots, SmartVision automatically redisovers it using the MAC address and restores the stream. One more network headache disappears.

Copying camera settings

Camera configuration can now be copied entirely. Once the perfect camera setup is created, it can be applied to the entire system including streams, detection zones, schedules, and analytics.

Flexible archive across multiple disks

Recording can be distributed across multiple disks and network storage with limits and priority order. Video is stored in standard MP4 files that can be opened on any computer without proprietary players. Two recording modes are available: a universal mode that converts streams to H.264 for compatibility, and a direct mode that saves the original stream for maximum performance.

Recording scheduler

A powerful scheduler controls continuous recording, motion recording, and cloud uploads. Cameras can follow daily routines. At home, cloud uploads and alerts can turn off when residents are present and activate automatically when they leave. Offices can use continuous recording during working hours and switch to motion-based recording at night. Multiple recording schedules can run simultaneously.

PTZ improvements and camera stability

PTZ cameras respond faster and presets are executed more reliably, improving live control and automation scenarios.

Instant notifications

SmartVision prepares fast messenger notifications with event snapshots. Users can choose specific triggers such as baby crying at night or motion in restricted zones.

Integrations and automation

The new integration module allows automation through HTTP requests. When an event is detected, SmartVision can trigger lights, unlock doors, or open gates. Video surveillance becomes an active part of the smart home instead of a passive observer.

The result is a modern surveillance platform that combines video, sound, automation, and cloud connectivity. SmartVision transforms IP cameras into intelligent sensors and turns home security into a proactive and automated system.
