SmartVision also supports sound detection and smart events. Recording can start even without motion or visible objects in the frame. The system continuously analyzes the camera’s audio stream and triggers an event when a configured sound is detected. Recording begins automatically, data can be uploaded to the server, and push notifications are sent. The system is trained on more than 500 sound types and can be further trained for specific tasks. Typical use cases include detecting a baby crying, monitoring patients, observing animals, and capturing abnormal or emergency sounds in industrial environments.
The platform includes flexible archive recording across multiple disks. In the Settings form you can define storage limits for each disk and set the recording order. For example, recording can start on drive C: with a space limit, continue on F: for the main archive, and later move to D: or network storage such as NAS or shared folders. Both local and network storage are supported.
Unlike many surveillance systems that use proprietary formats, SmartVision stores recordings directly in open MP4 files. This ensures that archives remain accessible even if hardware is replaced or software support ends. Files are organized by camera and date, with separate folders for events, continuous recording, and timelapse videos, and can be played both in the built-in SmartVision player and in third-party media players.
